NEUBAU delivered Planning consent through to Construction documentation for a high density mixed use development, adding significant value to what was previously a petrol station on a Brownfield Site. Following topping out the project has undergone change of ownership and NEUBAU is delighted to see construction completed with an executive Architect. The project contains a gallery, community facilities, and 28 bespoke apartments, arranged in cubic volumes to break down the overall mass of the building. The stacked volumes rise to 8 storeys and set back gradually from street level, reducing the overall impact whilst achieving approx 1,000 habitable rooms per hectare. Significant acoustic design efforts were made to mitigate traffic impact as the building negotiates the knuckle joint along two major arterials the Finchley Road and Hendon way. The built volume creates a protected pocket landscaped courtyard, reducing traffic exposure for neighbours and new residents alike. The project contains a 6m cubic clock installation with reference to a historic clock tower.
