Neubau received Planning Permission for Tower Station in 2016. Tower Station will contain 28 apartments arranged in cubic volumes, which help to break down the overall mass of the building into smaller residential units. These stacked volumes offer the opportunity for gradual setbacks, reducing overall impact. The building negotiates the knuckle joint along the heavily trafficked Finchley Road and Hendon way. The project sits in place of a former petrol station and historic clock tower on a Brownfield Site. The built volume creates a protected pocket Landscaped Courtyard. The clock tower of the former Esso service station was undeniably a distinctive feature and marker of the area and the proposal brings back the clock echoing the site’s history.
